As you may know, Hida Takayama, here is well known as a snow heavy area.

Before the winter comes, local people here have prepared for some preserved foods for the winter. 

And, pickles are the typical preserved foods in this area.

There will be upcoming event at Hida Folk village that you can see how the locals prepare for it.

Hopefully, you might still have a chance to enjoy autumn leaves there as well.
