Shirakawa-go Lighting up in 2013

The schedule of Shirakawa-go Light Up in this winner has fixed.

If you would like to go, please bring warm jacket!

How to get there,
You need to catch the bus from Takayama bus terminal.
They accept the reservation one month before the departure date.

Shinhotaka Ropeway.

One of nice place in Winter around Takayama is Shinhotaka Rope way.



The Shinhotaka Ropeway is the largest of its kind in Asia, and riding the gondola up to an elevation of 2,200 meters, you are greeted by a grand panoramic view from the observation platform at Nishi-Hotaka Station.

In the winter, you can enjoy snow wall , hiking, and hot spring.

Norikura mountains

Hi,I am Matsu from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama.

The hiking season has just started in the Japanese Alps in places like Kamikouchi,Norikura….

Hiking aroud Norikura
Norikura mountains isn’t as crowded as Kamiko-chi and has some splendid mountain scenery,easy hiking trails.

A bus take you to a bus stop called Tatamidaira(2700m above the sea level).When you get off the bus .you can enjoy
alpine plants and hiking. Also you can see snow walls on the way to bus stop.Why don’t you do a day trip for Norikura.?
