Kiyomi Lavendar

No worries if you don't have time to go all the way north to Hokkaido to see lavender. Though lessor known and in a smaller scale than its counterparts in Hokkaido, Kiyomi, a small town next to Takayama, also boasts a lavender park covering 7,500 meter squares with around 4,000 lavender plants painting the landscape in violet. The best period is expected to start from late June to mid-July. To coincide with the blossoming of these lovely flowers, a lavender fair will also be held on July 3, 4, 11, 12, in which lavender-related goods are sold.
