Have you seen a real sumo wrestler??

More than 10 sumo wrestlers will come to Takayama to practice.











Kids play with them.

Also you can eat Chanko-nabe which is traditional meal for sumo wrestler!!

It's not too late to sign up.

Please come to J-hoppers and enjoy the event;)


We will leave J-hoppers at 10 am

(30minutes drive from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama)

Hida Falk Village in Summer !

There is my favorite place in Takayama.
It's called 【Hida Folk Village】
Located about 20min walk or 10min by bus from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama.

Various events are now held in Hida Folk Village.

16th July to 28th August
There are many experience-based event such as touching silkworm.
You can take a photo with big unicorn beetle!







22nd July to 8th August
At the entrance, there is a big Tanabata -kazari.
You can write your with and put on the bamboo.









29th July 11:00am
Japanese Drum concert.

13th August 11:00 and 13:30
Japanese drum concert.

14th August 11:00 and 13:30
Samisen concert.
(A shamisen is a three-stringed instrument similar to a banjo.)

13th to 15th August 18:30 to 21:00
The houses are lighted up.

Hirayu-otaki（waterfall)

Hi, I am Matsu from J-Hoppers Hida Takayama.
It is getting hot in Japan.
Takayama recorded 33℃ highest temperature 3days ago for this year


There are many waterfalls around Takayama.
I want you to tell you one of them called Hirayu-otaki.
This beautiful waterfall drops 64 meters.

Also there are many onsens in Hirayu area.
You can go to a onsen on the way back to Takayama.























Access: 1 hour from Takayama by Nohi bus.
Get off bus @ [Hirayu camp jyou mae.]


Why don’t you go and see the waterfall to cool down your self?
